How to Add a Notification in GuardTek
To add a notification in GuardTek
1. Log onto the GuardTek web portal as an Admin or Supervisor.
2. Hover over the Settings module and click the Notifications option.
3. Click the Add new... button at the upper right-hand side of the page.
4. Filter the Notification you are adding.
Activity Type (1)
Click the activity type drop-down menu and select the activity type you want to associate the notification with.
Site (2)
Click the site drop-down menu and select the site to associate the activity type and notification with.
Objects (3)
Click the objects drop-down menu and select any objects you want to associate with the activity type, site, and notification.
Event (4)
Click the event field and click on the event you want to trigger a notification.
NOTE: You can add multiple events. To add multiple events, click the event field and click on the additional event you want to trigger a notification.
You can also add all events by clicking the All option to the right of the events field.
Recipient's Addresses (5)
Click the Add recipient button in the Recipient's Addresses box.
Select who the Recipient is and the Recipient's Address (which will auto-populate the email in the Type of Notification if the default Email is chosen), then click the green Add button at the lower right-hand corner of the box.
NOTE: If the Recipient is not located in the Recipient's Address drop-down menu, click the Recipient is drop-down menu and select Other Contact to create a new recipient.
Email Subject Line (6)
Add an appropriate email subject line for the type of notification you created.
Save (7)
Once completed, click the green Save button at the lower right-hand corner of the page.
How to Edit a Notification
To edit a notification:
1. Log onto the GuardTek web portal as an Admin or Supervisor.
2. Hover over the Settings module and click the Notifications option.
3. On the Setup notifications page, find the notification you want to edit and click the green pencil icon in the Edit column.
4. Edit the desired notification filters and click the Save button at the bottom right-hand corner of the window.
How to Delete a Notification
To delete a notification:
1. Log onto the GuardTek web portal as an Admin or Supervisor.
2. Hover over the Settings module and click the Notifications option.
3. Find the notification you want to delete and click the checkbox in the green trashcan column, then click the green trashcan icon in the column header.
