In this article we will go over the Tours option on the GuardTek m-Post App and the many options a user can apply to a tour.
How to Start a Tour
To start a Tour:
1. On the App home page tap the TOURS icon button under the default Quick Tools tab.
NOTE: There are 2 other ways to access the Tours Icon. For a further review please see the Resource Center article: m-Post User Training - Accessing the Activity Menu Options (iOS)
2. Tap on the Tour you want to do.
NOTE: You can start a Tour by simply scanning a tag, however, tags can be assigned to multiple Tours, therefore it is strongly recommended that you always open the Tour manually to make sure you open the correct Tour.
3. Once you have selected the Tour you want to do tap the green START TOUR button at the bottom of the screen.
4. Tap on the NFC Tag icon to start adding checkpoints to the tour.
If the Tour was set up with QR Codes you will see a QR Code as an option to tap on.
5. When you scan an NFC Tag or QR Code the counter of the number of checkpoints read will count up (1). The checkpoint scanned will turn green and include a time stamp (2). You will also have the option to Add a Photo, Video, and Note to the checkpoint (3).

How to Search for a Tour by Category
To search for a tour by category:
1. On the App home page tap the TOURS icon button under the default Quick Tools tab.

2. The default will be to display all tours. Tap on the ALL drop-down menu.

3. Tap the category you are looking for.
4. The Tours for that category will display for you to choose from and start tour.
How to End a Tour
To end a tour:
1. Tap the red END TOUR button at the top right hand corner.
2. In the End of tour pop up box warning tap Yes.
NOTE: Most tours require you to scan a minimum number of NFC tags to be considered complete. If you do not complete the minimum number of NFC tag scans you may be promoted to explain why and an alert notification will be generated.
