What is synchronizing a device? When changes are made on the Guardtek web portal, they will not go "live" on the m-Post app immediately. For the changes to be visible and accessible in the m-Post app, the device must synchronize to the Guardtek web portal.
This process usually occurs automatically when you log in, but you can follow these instructions if you need to synchronize the app manually.
There are two ways to synchronize an iOS device:
How to Synchronize an iOS Device Before Logging in
To synchronize an iOS device before logging in:
1. On the m-Post login screen, swipe right before adding your Username and Password.
2. Tap the refresh icon Synchronization.
3. The app will download the data, and you can then log in.
How to Synchronize an iOS Device While Logged in
To synchronize an iOS device while already logged into the m-Post app:
1. Tap on the Global Navigation Menu.
2. Tap the refresh icon Synchronization.
3. A pop-up message will let you know the data synchronizes.
4. Once the data synchronization has been completed, the pop-up message will change and display the note: Device synchronized successfully.
