Make sure badge is using NFC technology and has never been used before.
Read the new badge from mPost
1. From mPost, logged as supervisor, open the left pane by clicking the icon in upper right corner and select Add tag.
2. Next screen asks to read the new NFC badge. Glide the badge under the device's reader (commonly under the battery, see device notice).
3. Reading is confirmed by vibration, ringing and the display of the unique reference.
4. Click on Add Tag to send this reference towards the Tag Management page on computer. If you don't have other badge to add you can quit this screen by using the < icon on top or the Cancel button at the bottom.
NOTE: Be sure the badge has never been used elsewhere.
If already existing in any Guardtek module its reference will never appear on Tag Management page.
Retrieve badge reference on NFC Tags page
5. Connect now on Guardtek portal from a computer and go to NFC Tags page under Settings menu.
6. This page shows a list of all tags available on the guardroom (selected from upper right corner).
7. The badge you just read in mPost, if not pre-existing, is shown in the list.
2 things to help you retrieve it:
1. Its name is composed as follow: Device's Guardroom - device reference - date - time of reading.
2. Its type is Undefined.
8. Check its box in last column and click on bin icon to delete it.
Or click on the Pencil icon in Edit column to define its setup.
9. Start by clearly naming this badge in the Equipment field (for instance: Personalnumber LAST NAME Surname) and then select User ID in the drop down list Tag Type. (don't touch its reference as it could make it unusable!)
10. In the 2nd list that just appeared, select the user account, sorted per role. Click then on Create.
If user account can't be found in this list, verify to be on the right Guardroom or that the user has access on it.
11. Badge is directly linked to the user account, found now on ID Cards page.
12. You'll just need to synchronise all your devices before they can recognise the new badge.
Attention Points
Activate NFC option in device parameters.
Confirm badge is using NFC technology: if app doesn't react (no vibration or sound) it's not the case.
Badge must be set up on a Guardroom user has access to.
Be sure badge has never been used anywhere else. If existing in any other module its reference won't appear on Tag Management page.
