The third recommended step in the CASHI configuration order, creating and customizing your Inspection Reports will make them available for the steps that follow.
The Templates sub-tab under the Settings tab lets you define multiple Report templates that your field agents will need to complete during every Item inspection.
The key thing to remember here is that the system relies exclusively on No answers to Yes/No fields to generate an inspection Anomaly. Pay close attention to how you phrase these questions:
- Seal damaged? > Yes > No anomaly.
- Seal intact? > No > Anomaly generated.
Accessing Report Templates
1. Go to the Equipment Inspections page in the Activities menu.
2. Make sure you are on the correct Site using the dropdown in the top right corner. Then go to the last Settings tab and select the Templates sub-tab.
3. You will typically already see at least one existing report template, created during the tutorial (see this article).
Edit an Existing Template
1. Simply click the Pencil icon (Edit column) on the row of the Template you want to update.
2. This opens the Report Template in simple mode, i.e., without advanced options. Refer to this article to learn how to edit/add questions, and in particular Yes/No fields — as only Yes/No fields are considered by the system when determining whether to generate inspection Anomalies.
Look at the screenshot below and note the phrasing of questions linked to a Yes/No field.
Need Yes or No answers that don't trigger anomalies? Use a List field type and add two entries: Yes and No. This way, a No answer won't generate an Anomaly.
3. When you are satisfied with the result, click Save Form at the bottom right.
Add a Template
1. Click the blue + New Report Template button in the top right corner.

Delete a Template
1. Check the box on the far right of the Template row you want to delete, then click the Trash icon in the header row of that same column.
2. Note: if this Template is already linked to an Item Type, an error message will notify you. You will need to unlink the Template before deleting it.
3. Confirm your choice to permanently delete the Template.
