This article will guide you through creating a new Element, which is particularly useful if you were unable to follow the initial tutorial (see this article). You can repeat this process to build up the full inventory of equipment to be inspected. This is the last step before moving on to configuring your Inspection Campaign.

An Element is the individual object to be inspected: the fire extinguisher in room A113, emergency door 2032, etc.

Accessing Elements

1. Go to the Equipment Inspections page in the Activities menu.

2. Make sure you are on the correct Site using the dropdown in the top right corner. Then go to the Elements tab.

3. You will typically already see at least one Item, created during the tutorial (see this article).

Edit an Existing Element

1. Simply click on the row of the Element you want to modify.

2. This displays the editing panel with its Name, an Expiry Date, an Active/Inactive toggle, a reminder of its Type, its Attributes, and a Comment field.
Below that, a table showing your Levels and Zones allows you to precisely locate the Item and add a location comment.
Finally, the associated photo and QR code (both via mPost) are shown.

3. Once your changes are made, click Save to close the panel.

Add an Element

1. Cliquez sur le bouton bleu + Nouvel Elément dans le coin supérieur droit.

2. This displays the editing panel with its Name, an Expiry Date, an Active/Inactive toggle, a reminder of its Type, its Attributes, and a Comment field.
Below that, a table showing your Levels and Zones allows you to precisely locate the Item and add a location comment.
Finally, the associated photo and QR code (both via mPost) are shown.

3. Once your changes are made, click Save to close the panel.

Delete an Element

1. Check the box(es) on the far left of the Item row(s) you want to delete, then click the Trash icon on the right in the blue banner that appears.

Note: any Item already linked to at least one Campaign cannot be deleted.

3. Confirm your choice to permanently delete the Element.
