Some features requires defining precise values, totally dependant of your device. Watch out because good settings is crucial to provide correct and adapted protection.
To know optimal parameters for your device, don't hesitate to contact our Support team.
Define LWP parameters
1. Go to Onsite Equipments under Settings menu.
2. First make sure you're on the right Guardroom using the drop-down menu in upper right corner.
3. Retrieve your device and click on its pencil icon in Edit column.
4. From configuration screen scroll down to 3rd group Device Phone Nbr. Configuration.
Start by encoding the device phone number. This number will be displayed on several follow-up pages for Supervisor, Dispatchers, etc and make contacting device much easier.
5. Now go to next group Setup Man Down / Tilt options.
6. You can here choose which LWP features to activate by switching cursor to Yes. Activation will show additional fields to encode.
Enable phone call on alert: encode here phone numbers (international format. Example: +33648123456) to call automatically in alert.
Enable manuel emergency detection: define an activation delay in milliseconds. This define the press duration of the panic button required, physically or onscreen.
Enable Tilt detection: 2 options to define here: an angle (in degree) over which alert will be triggered after the duration defined in 2nd field under it. Angle here is calculated from the "standing" position of the device so 0° is standing and 90° laying down.
Enable Man Down detection: define the immobility duration before alert.
Enable impact detection: will trigger an alert in case of shock detection but is highly dependant to device captor.
Enable fall detection: will trigger an alert in case of fall detection but also highly dependant to device captor. Field can be used to adapt a too sensivite or too late trigger.
Enable timer-based protection detection: allow to define a duration before alert is triggered, shown on mPost as a timer. New toggle cursor allow to let mPost user customise this duration on the go. Feature like Ariane string, useful when crossing an aera without network for instance.
Enable Lone Worker Proof of Life Timers: allow to define a duration (5 minutes minimum) that will be shown in upper right corner of mPost screen during which mPost user is required to show sign of life by using the app (touching mPost screen). No reaction would trigger an alert.
Loss of device connection when assigned: triggers a notification if connection to servers is lost.
Send alerts to an external alarm receiver: contact your CSS for more informations.
Exit geofence Area when user signs off: ignore (exclusive for interfaced alarm centers).
7. Once everything is set up as needed save by clicking on Update.
Activation is direct (if device is connected to internet of course), a LWP icon is shown in upper right corner in mPost.
Configure LWP Notifications
It's advised to set up global Notifications to multiply alert channels especially for connectivity loss.
1. Click on the Enveloppe icon in Activity Emails column (header for global, on the line per device).
2. In the new frame click on Add new...
3. Click on Event list to see all LWP triggers available.
4. You can select one or more triggers, logically those activated.
5. Now go to next field and click on Add recipient, several fields will appear. Start with Recipient is:
NOTE: They are 3 recipient types in this menu:
System User: is a recipient already having a user account on your platform (customer, guard, supervisor, administrator, ...).
Employee: is a recipient whose informations are saved in Visitors module as Employee. This option is useful for known persons to be notified without the need of having a personal user account. For instance a maintenance employee.
Other Contact: is a recipient to be notified but totally external to Guardtek. For instance a provider, a customer.
6. Select a recipient type.
Existing system users and Employees can be retrieved in the dynamic menu Recipient's Address. Otherwise check the User Management page or Visitors module.
For Other Contact, if existing, it will be listed in the same dynamic menu but if a new creation is required select -- Contact Details -- in the next menu. This will show multiple fields to log all data.
7. If selected recipient doesn't have an email adress, use the Message Type second field to encode one directly.
If an email is already linked it will show in this field.
8. The #1 Message Type field allow you to choose the notification type: Le 1er champ Recevoir l'alerte par vous permet de choisir le moyen de notification voulu: SMS, Email or Voice (=a phone bot will read the notification by phone call).
NOTE: Some Notifications are not available per SMS or Voice, those choices would then be hidden.
Likewise at least one trigger event must be selected for this list to activate (see point 4).
9. Click on Add to save this recipient.
Restart from point 5 to add other recipients or go to next step.
10. Next field, Email Subject Line, allows you to add caracters or words at the beginning of email object.
11. One everything is setup click on Save at the bottom.
After a loading fields will be emptied to allow you to add other notifications and what you just defined is listed in the list.
Click on Cancel to stop encoding notifications, close the frame and come back to recipient list.
