Reacting upon LWP alerts is part of the most sensitive missions for security teams.
Indeed a range of circumstances can impact communication with a user in distress (noise, stress, urgency). To assist Command Center operators, a new option has been added to display a video/audio feed from the device in alert (and only in this case).
3 prerequisites:
1. PTT activated on mPost
2. mPost version is higher or equal to 1.4.170
3. Access authorization must be given to mPost for Android camera
Define Video Feed Activation Delay
This option activates itself after a defined delay (to protect user's confidentiality).
1. Go to Account Settings under Settings menu, Command Center tab.
2. Reach 2nd section Video Streaming:
Define using this field the duration in seconds before the video feed icon is clickable in Command Center.
3. Don't forget to click on Save to validate your setting.
Open and Use Video Feed from Command Center
Video Feed feature is only possible when a LWP alert is ongoing, otherwise icon stays inactive.
1. Go to Command Center page under Logbook menu.
2. On the map click on device in alert icon to show left pane.
3. In upper ribbon with all the icons, click on the last Camera icon (once activation delay is over).
4. A tile shows up with video and audio streaming from mPost and provides 3 buttons:
o rotate video counter-clockwise
o switch to other camera (front/back)
o rotate video clockwise.
5. Click on the cross in upper right corner to close the feed.
Remarks
mPost user can always close the feed directly.
An audio message "Video Stream open" is played to notify Command Center user and mPost user at the same time.
Command Center will create and automatically open a direct PTT channel with the mPost user, manageable from the left pane.
Video Feed on mPost
A video feed can only be open when mPost is in LWP alert mode and upon human manual action.
Initialising a video feed is always notified by the "Video stream open" audio message.
Touch the Mute icon to cut audio towards Command Center.
Use the Back button in top left corner to leave video feed and close it directly.
