What is a Position Qualification?
A qualification is a link between a position, an employee and a scheduled shift.
For example: a specific shift at a specific location may require an armed guard. Creating a specific position qualification means that only employees that met the qualification(s) can be scheduled for a position at a specific location.
How to Create a Position Qualification (Option 1)
To create a position qualification:
1. Log onto the Trackforce Valiant web portal as an Admin or Supervisor.
2. Hover over the TLM Module and click Position in the Schedule Maintenance section.
3. Click on the location you want to create a position qualification for.
4. In the Main Form section at the left hand side of the page click expand the Additional Attributes sub-section and then click Qualifications.
5. Click the Create New button at the top left hand side of the page.
If the position already has qualifications you can click the drop down arrow to view and select from the list.
If the position does not have qualifications click the Create button.
Select a Business Unit: from the drop down menu.
Click the Qualification: field and type in a qualification name, i.e. "Armed Guard".
Click the Description: field and type in a description of the qualification you are creating, i.e. "firearm license required".
Once the position qualification has been created you can click the Save button or at the bottom right hand corner of the window to save the new qualification or click the Save & New at the bottom right hand corner of the window to save the new qualification and add an additional qualification(s).
NOTE: A newly created qualification will automatically default to ACTIVE. You have the option to click on the drop down arrow and edit the qualification to INACTIVE as needed.
6. A green pop-up banner will let you know the Position Qualification has been successfully created.
How to Create a Position Qualification (Option 2)
To create a position qualification:
1. Log onto the Trackforce Valiant web portal as an Admin or Supervisor.
2. Hover over the TLM Module and click Position Qualifications under the Position Master sub-heading.
3. On the Position Qualifications page click the Create New button at the upper right hand corner.
If the position already has qualifications you can click the drop down arrow to view and select from the list.
If the position does not have qualifications click the Create button.
Select a Business Unit: from the drop down menu.
Click the Qualification: field and type in a qualification name, i.e. "Armed Guard".
Click the Description: field and type in a description of the qualification you are creating, i.e. "firearm license required".
Once the position qualification has been created you can click the Save button or at the bottom right hand corner of the window to save the new qualification or click the Save & New at the bottom right hand corner of the window to save the new qualification and add an additional qualification(s).
NOTE: A newly created qualification will automatically default to ACTIVE. You have the option to click on the drop down arrow and edit the qualification to INACTIVE as needed.

How to Manage a Position Qualification
NOTE: The only editing options of a position qualification are to make it active or inactive or to delete it.
To edit a position qualification:
1. Log onto the Trackforce Valiant web portal as an Admin or Supervisor.
2. Hover over the TLM Module and click Position in the Schedule Maintenance section.
3. Click on the location you want to edit a position qualification for.
4. In the Main Form section at the left hand side of the page click expand the Additional Attributes sub-section and then click Qualifications.
5. Right click the Qualification you want to edit.
6. In the drop down menu you can view (Show or Detail) Delete or Edit the position qualification.
7. Once the position qualification has been made active or inactive or deleted click the Save button at the bottom right hand corner of the page.
8. A green pop-up banner will let you know the position Qualification has been successfully edited.
