Time, Labor Management (TLM) Module Overview – GuardTek Help Center

In this article we will provide a high level overview of the TLM module.

Important Actions (1)

Create Employee - Clicking on this option allows you to add employees to Smartforce.

Quick Create Customer - Clicking on this option allows you to quickly create a new customer, location and position.

Scheduled Week - Clicking on this option gives you a view of all the weeks that have been created in your database.
Business Unit - Clicking on this option shows you a list of your business units. This in turn allows you to either view the business unit schedules, or view the information in the record itself.
Customer - Clicking on this option shows a list of your customers, which allows you to either view their schedules, or view the information in the record itself.

Schedule Change Reason - Clicking on this option allows you to create reasons to use when you make changes to the schedule.

Customer Contacts - Clicking on this option gives you a list of customers and any contacts you've assigned to them.
Customer Contracts - Clicking on this option gives you a list of customers and any contract information you attached to them.

Business Unit - Clicking on this option lists the business units that have been created.

In the Actions column you can click the Schedule Details button to view the schedule by week and who is scheduled for a specific shift.

Customer - Clicking this option lists all customers that have been created. From here you can click Schedule Details to view the schedule for a customer, or click on the record to view or edit detailed information about the customer.
Location - Clicking this option lists all locations that have been created. From here you can click Schedule Details to view the schedule for a location, or click on the record to view or edit detailed information about the location.
Position - Clicking this option lists all positions that have been created. From here you can click Schedule Details to view the schedule for a position, or click on the record to view or edit detailed information about the position.

Payroll Adjustment - Clicking this option will show you a list of all payroll adjustments that have been created. You can filter the list to view current or past payroll adjustments, and can even create new ones.

Location Holidays - Clicking this option gives you a list of locations that have holidays attached to them.
Location Rate Differentials - Clicking this option gives you a list of locations that have rate differentials attached to them.

Vantage Call Log - Provides information regarding Vantage punches.
Time Punches - Clicking here will give a list of all successful punches, including the times and where the punches came from.
Schedule Exceptions - Clicking here will give a list of punches that were not successful, and will provide a reason why the punch didn't come through. An example would be an employee who punched but was not on the schedule.
Time Entry - Clicking here gives a list of time entries for clients who are not using scheduling.
Time Entry Exceptions - Clicking here gives a list of time entries that were not successful for clients not using scheduling.
Weekly Time Entries - gives a list of time entries organized by week for clients not using scheduling.

Employee TLM Profile - Clicking here will give you a list of all employees. Clicking an employee will bring you into their TLM profile.

Position Qualifications - Clicking here will give you a list of positions that have a qualification assigned to them. You can also assign new qualifications to positions from here.

Post Rate Management - Clicking here will bring you to an interactive page where you can view a list of all rates assigned to your positions. On this page you can create new rates, edit existing ones, or delete them.
Employee Matrix - Clicking here will give you a list of employees who have a payroll or billing matrix assigned to them. From here you can delete or create new matrixes.
Holiday Defaults - Clicking here will show you a list of holidays you've created that can be assigned to locations. You can create new holiday records here too.
Rate Differential Default - Clicking here will show you a list of rate differentials that have been created that can be assigned to locations. You can create new rate differentials here too.
