ZK i3000 Clock - Enrolling Fingerprints

In this article we will go over how to enroll in the ZK i3000 Clock and proper finger placement for ideal reading. 

How to Enroll in the ZK i3000 Clock

To enroll in the ZK i3000 clock:
1. On the Main Menu screen, tap the User Mgt. icon.

Make sure that the icon is highlighted and tap

2. On the User Management Screen, select “All Users” to enter the All Users Screen.

Make sure that the “All Users” selection is highlighted and tap

3. On the All User Screen, use one of the options below to select a user:

Use the search bar to enter the User ID (Kiosk Pin)


Use mceclip4.png and mceclip5.png to toggle down and up and select the user.


Use the search bar to enter the User Name (Last Name)


To access alphabet by tapping mceclip6.png and tapping mceclip7.png for the ability to toggle.


Make sure that the desired user is highlighted and tap mceclip1.png


4. On the User Screen, select Edit to enter the Edit Screen.

Make sure that the “Edit” selection is highlighted and press mceclip1.png


5. Use mceclip4.png and mceclip5.png to toggle down and up and select “Fingerprint”

6. Use mceclip4.png and mceclip5.png to toggle left and right, or use mceclip9.png  and mceclip10.png to toggle left and right.


Once the desired finger to enroll in highlighted, press mceclip1.png.

 

NOTE: Please refer to 1.1 Finger Placement for guidance in choosing finger

7. Place desired finger on the biometric reader 3 times

8. Every time the screen will measure the precision on the print.

9.  Once the finger has been verified three times, the fingerprint is saved and the Edit menu will appear.

NOTE: If you would like to enter another fingerprint for the user, follow from step 5.


If you would like to enroll another user press mceclip15.png, until you reach the All Users
Screen and follow from step 3.

 

Proper Finger Placement

It is recommended that you use the index finger, middle finger or the ring finger.  

The thumb and little finger are not recommended.

1. Proper finger placement.

The finger is flat to the surface and centered.

2.  Improper finger placement.

Not flat to the surface, or off center, or slanted.
