Purpose of Article: When a clock has already been configured to an existing Client, if you need to reconfigure that device to a different Client on another WDMS server instance you can follow the below steps to do so.
Step #1 – Turn Off Cellular Communication on the clock
Log into the clock’s main menu and select the “Comm” option:
Select the “Cellular Data Network” option:
Change the “Cellular Data Network” option to Off:
Step #2 – Delete the existing users off of the clock
From the main menu of the clock select the “Data Mgt.” option:
Select the “Delete Data” option:
Select the “Delete All Data” option:
Step #3 – Change the Cloud Server settings on the clock to the new Client server
From the main menu of the clock select the “Comm” option:
Select the “Cloud Server Setting” option:
Under the Cloud Server Settings, select the “Server Address” option and adjust it to the new server value, and then select the “Server port” option and adjust it to the new Port value if necessary:
Step #4 – Turn Cellular Communication on the clock back On
From the main menu of the clock select the “Comm” option:
Select the “Cellular Data Network” option:
Change the “Cellular Data Network” option to On:
Step #5 – Finalize clock configuration in WDMS
Log into the Client’s WDMS server website:
(NOTE: You must be logged into the Valiant VPN in order to connect to any WDMS server website)
Click on the serial number of the device listed at the very top of the list with a Status of “Not Authorized”:
Enter a name for the device under the Device Alias name field, select the associated Client name in the Zone dropdown, select the associated Division name in the Department dropdown, and check off the “Clear Data in the Device when Adding” box and press the Submit button to confirm:
The clock should begin syncing and downloading the client finger template information at that point.
