How to a Remove an Employee from a Permanent or Temporary Shift Assignment
To remove an employee from a permanent or temporary shift:
1. Log onto the Trackforce Valiant web portal as an Admin or Supervisor.
2. Hover over the TLM Module and click the Business Unit option in the Schedule Maintenance section.
3. Click the Schedule Details button in the Actions column of the Business Unit you want to remove a permanent shift for.
4. Select the shift you want to remove by right clicking the 3 horizontal dots on the right hand side of the box.
In the drop down menu, hover over Remove and then click This Day*.

5. A pop up window will ask you to provide a performance tracking reason for the removal of the employee and have you specify if the assignment is being removed temporarily or permanently.
6. Clicking the Performance Tracking: drop down will open another window to make your selection from.
Once your selection has been made click the Select button at the bottom right hand corner.
7. Once the Reason and Options have been selected click the Save button at the bottom right hand corner.
8. A green SUCCESS banner will let you know the permanent employee was successfully removed from the shift.
9. The shift will now appear as unassigned, open.
How to Remove a Permanent or Temporary Shift
NOTE: You cannot remove a shift while it is assigned. If a shift has been permanently assigned you must first removed the shift assignment before proceeding.
To remove a permanent or temporary shift:
1. Log onto the Trackforce Valiant web portal as an Admin or Supervisor.
2. Hover over the TLM Module and click the Business Unit option in the Schedule Maintenance section.
3. Click the Schedule Details button in the Actions column of the Business Unit you want to remove a permanent shift for.
4. Select the shift you want to remove by right clicking the 3 horizontal dots on the right hand side of the box.
In the drop down menu hover over Remove Opening and click Permanent.*

5. A green SUCCESS banner will let you know the shift was successfully removed.
6. The shift you removed will no longer appear on the weekly calendar.
Defining the Remove Options
When removing a shift you have additional options other than All as discussed above. In this section we will go over the other available options.
This Day
Selecting this option will pop up a This Day window and is meant to remove the employee from just the single day assigned that the employee was clicked to be removed from.
Click on the Performance Tracking: drop down in the Reason section and select the reason for removing the shift assignment.
Click on the Permanent Or Temporary: drop down menu and select if removing the employee from the shift assignment is Temporary or Permanent.
Click on the Time Frame drop down menu and select if the shift is being removed for This Day Only or of it is also meant to be removed for Future Weeks as well.
Once the all fields have been populated click the Save button at the bottom right hand corner of the pop up window.
Once the Reason and Options have been selected click the Save button at the bottom right hand corner.
A green SUCCESS banner will let you know the permanent employee was successfully removed from the shift.
The shift will now appear as unassigned, open.
This Week/This Location
Selecting this option will pop up a This Week/This Location window and is meant to remove the employee from any shifts they are assigned to at this location.
Click on the Performance Tracking: drop down in the Reason section and select the reason for removing the shift assignment.
Click on the Permanent Or Temporary: drop down menu and select if removing the employee from the shift assignment is Temporary or Permanent.
Once the Reason and Options have been selected click the Save button at the bottom right hand corner.
A green SUCCESS banner will let you know the permanent employee was successfully removed from the shift.
The shift will now appear as unassigned, open.
This Week/All Location
Selecting this option will pop up a This Week/All Location window and is meant to remove the employee from the entire week and all shifts assigned at all the locations for the customer that the employee was clicked to be removed from.
Click on the Performance Tracking: drop down in the Reason section and select the reason for removing the shift assignment.
Click on the Permanent Or Temporary: drop down menu and select if removing the employee from the shift assignment is Temporary or Permanent.
Once the Reason and Options have been selected click the Save button at the bottom right hand corner.
A green SUCCESS banner will let you know the permanent employee was successfully removed from the shift.
The shift will now appear as unassigned, open.
All
Selecting this option will pop up a All window and is meant to remove the employee from all shifts at all locations across the entire business unit.
A pop up window will ask you to provide a performance tracking reason for the removal of the shift and have you specify if the shift is being removed temporarily or permanently.
Clicking the Performance Tracking: drop down will open another window to make your selection from.
Once your selection has been made click the Select button at the bottom right hand corner.
Once the Reason and Options have been selected click the Save button at the bottom right hand corner.
A green SUCCESS banner will let you know the permanent employee was successfully removed from the shift.
The shift will now appear as unassigned, open.
Temporarily Removing a Shift Opening
In the How to Remove a Permanent or Temporary Shift section of this article we went over clicking on the the Remove Opening Permanent option.
Here, we will go over the Remove Opening Temporary option.
When you select the Temporary option the opening will be removed for just that week.
The opening will appear unassigned with the designation TR OPEN (Temporarily Removed and Open)
This means that the opening is only temporarily removed and that the following week it will be back on the normal schedule.
