In this article we will go over how to manually clock employees in and out on the schedule details page.
NOTE: Clocking in and out with Guardtek, Valiant mobile, or Vantage will update the schedule details page automatically. Manually confirming time is typically done when employees are not using a punch in method or they have not been enrolled in one of the mobile apps yet.

How to Manually Confirm a Shift Time on the Schedule - In and Out
To manually confirm In and Out time on the schedule:
1. Log onto the https://live.portal.valiant.com/ web portal as an admin or supervisor.
2. Click on TLM, then click on a hierarchy level under the Schedule Maintenance section.
3. Click on the Schedule Details button in the Actions column.
4. Click on the 3 horizontal dots at the right hand side of the shift you want to manually confirm the time for. Hover over Confirm and then click the appropriate In (1) or Out (2) time punch.
In (1)
You have the option to clock the employee In for the shift individually.
Clicking the In option will turn the shift light green and a SUCCESS banner will let you know the clock in was confirmed.
NOTE: If you are confirming the entire shift worked within the specified shift hours, you can skip manually clocking the employee In and click on Out only.
Out (2)
Clicking the Out option will turn the shift dark green and confirm the shift time as worked.
If you did not manually clock the employee In then clicking the Out option will log the shift as completed and clocked in and out within the specified shift hours.
How to Manually Edit Shift Time on the Schedule
To manually edit time on the schedule:
1. Log onto the https://live.portal.valiant.com/ web portal as an admin or supervisor.
2. Click on TLM, then click on a hierarchy level under the Schedule Maintenance section.
3. Click on the Schedule Details button in the Actions column.
4. Click on the 3 horizontal dots at the right hand side of the shift you want to manually confirm the time for. Hover over Confirm and then click Detail (3).

In the Detail pop up window you will be asked to use the drop down menu to provide a Performance Tracking reason for the edit to the shift time outside of the normal shift hours.
The Time tab
In the Start Time: field you can type the start time in 24/Military time or use the drop down menu to select the actual start time in 5 minute increments.
In the End Time: field you can type the end time in 24/Military time or use the drop down menu to select the actual end time in 5 minute increments.
The Notes tab
In the Notes: box you can add a comment regarding the reason for the manual edit to the shift time.
You also have the option to click the Add Notes To Invoice: checkbox to include the notes on the customer invoice.
NOTE: Changing the Start or End Time will change the Total Billable Hours and create a Variance on the Shift.
5. Once the edits have been made click the Save button at the bottom right hand corner of the window.
6. A pop up SUCCESS banner will let you know the time edits have been confirmed.
How to Manually Confirm Meal Times on the Schedule
To manually confirm meal times on the schedule:
1. Log onto the https://live.portal.valiant.com/ web portal as an admin or supervisor.
2. Click on TLM, then click on a hierarchy level under the Schedule Maintenance section.
3. Click on the Schedule Details button in the Actions column.
4. Click on the 3 horizontal dots at the right hand side of the shift you want to manually confirm the meal time for. Hover over Confirm and then click Meal (4).
5. Add the meal start and end times in the Meal Start Time: and Meal End Time: fields or use the drop down menus to select the meal start and end times.
6. Once the meal times have been added click the Save button at the bottom right hand corner of the window.
How to Reset (unconfirm) Manually Confirmed Time on the Schedule
To reset (unconfirm) manually confirmed time on the schedule:
1. Log onto the https://live.portal.valiant.com/ web portal as an admin or supervisor.
2. Click on TLM, then click on a hierarchy level under the Schedule Maintenance section.
3. Click on the Schedule Details button in the Actions column.
4. Click on the 3 horizontal dots at the right hand side of the shift you want to reset (unconfirm) the time for. Hover over Confirm and then click Reset.
5. The shift will now display as no time confirmed.
How to Manually Confirm Multiple Shifts Simultaneously
NOTE: There are 4 ways that we will go over in this section.
To manually confirm multiple shifts simultaneously:
1. Log onto the https://live.portal.valiant.com/ web portal as an admin or supervisor.
2. Click on TLM, then click on a hierarchy level under the Schedule Maintenance section.
3. Click on the Schedule Details button in the Actions column.
Option 1. Position
4. Click on the 3 vertical dots in the Position box.
5. Hover over the Confirm option. You have the option to click This Week to confirm all the position shift times for the entire week or you can confirm all the shifts times for the position by individual days of the week.
6. A green pop up SUCCESS will let you the weekending date has had all position shifts confirmed.
7. All shifts for that position for that week will now show the shift time confirmed on the schedule details.
NOTE: You cannot do a reset for multiple shifts simultaneously. If you need to reset shifts you will need to do so individually.
Option 2. Location
4. Click on the 3 vertical dots in the Location box.
5. Hover over the Confirm option. You have the option to click This Week to confirm all the location shift times for the entire week or you can confirm all the shifts times for the location by individual days of the week.
6. A green pop up SUCCESS will let you the weekending date has had all location shifts confirmed.
7. All shifts for that location for that week will now show the shift time confirmed on the schedule details.
Option 3. Customer
4. Click on the 3 vertical dots in the Position box.
5. Hover over the Confirm option. You have the option to click This Week to confirm all the customer shift times for the entire week or you can confirm all the shifts times for the customer by individual days of the week.
6. A green pop up SUCCESS will let you the weekending date has had all customer shifts confirmed.
7. All shifts for that customer for that week will now show the shift time confirmed on the schedule details.
Option 4. Shift
4. Click on the 3 vertical dots in the specific time slot Shift box.
5. Hover over the Confirm option. You have the option to click This Week to confirm all the individual shifts for that specific time slot for the entire week, or you can confirm all the individual shifts for that specific time slot by individual days of the week.
6. A green pop up SUCCESS will let you the weekending date has had all individual shifts for that specific time slot shift confirmed.
7. All shifts for that individual shift time slot for that week will now show the shift time confirmed on the schedule details.
