Managing the Dashboard - Message Center

In this article we will go over how to manage the message center on the dashboard.

The MESSAGE CENTER consists of three headings:

  • ANNOUNCEMENT
  • INFORMATION
  • COMPANY EVENT

NOTE: there will be no information listed until it is added and published.

 

How to Add an Announcement

To add an announcement:

1. Log onto the Trackforce Valiant web portal as a Trackforce Valiant employee user.

2. From the homepage hover over and click on the Administration module and click Clients.

3. Locate the client you want to add an announcement for and left click on it.

4. On the Clients page click on Message Center under the Additional Attributes heading.

5. Click on the Create New button.

6. In the Message Center give your Announcement a Message Title (1).

Click on the Message Content: (2) field and type in the announcement content. 

Make sure the Message Type: (3) drop down menu is displaying Announcement.  If it is not, click on the drop down menu and select Announcement. 

You have the ability to add any Message Link: (4) if so desired. 

Once the Announcement has been created you have the ability to click the Save & New (5) button to save the announcement and add Information and a Company Event or to click the Save (5) button to save the announcement.

7. After clicking the Save (5) button a green SUCCESS banner will pop up letting you know the message center content was successfully created.

If you click the Save & New (5) button a green SUCCESS banner will pop up letting you know the message center content was successfully created and then take you back to step 6.

 

How to Add Information

NOTE: You can continue straight to step 6 if you clicked the Save & New button after adding an announcement.

To add information:

1. Log onto the Trackforce Valiant web portal as an Admin or Supervisor.

2. From the homepage hover over and click on the Administration module and click Clients.

3. Locate the client you want to add an announcement for and left click on it.

4. On the Clients page click on Message Center under the Additional Attributes heading.

5. Click on the Create New button.

6. In the Message Center give your Information a Message Title (1).

Click on the Message Content: (2) field and type in the Information content. 

Make sure the Message Type: (3) drop down menu is displaying Information.  If it is not, click on the drop down menu and select company event. 

You have the ability to add any Message Link: (4) if so desired. 

Once the Information has been created you have the ability to click the Save & New (5) button to save the information and add an Announcement and a Company Event or to click the Save (5) button to save the information.

7. After clicking the Save (5) button a green SUCCESS banner will pop up letting you know the message center content was successfully created.

How to Add a Company Event

NOTE: You can continue straight to step 6 if you clicked the Save & New button after adding an announcement or information.

To add a Company Event:

1. Log onto the Trackforce Valiant web portal as an Admin or Supervisor.

2. From the homepage hover over and click on the Administration module and click Clients.

3. Locate the client you want to add a Company Event for and left click on it.

4. On the Clients page click on Message Center under the Additional Attributes heading.

6. In the Message Center give your Company Event a Message Title (1).

Click on the Message Content: (2) field and type in the Company Event content. 

Make sure the Message Type: (3) drop down menu is displaying Company Event.  If it is not, click on the drop down menu and select company event. 

You have the ability to add any Message Link: (4) if so desired. 

Once the Information has been created you have the ability to click the Save & New (5) button to save the Company Event and add an Announcement and Information if you haven't already done so or to click the Save (5) button to save the company event.
